Daniela faces lucky loser Lesia Tsuernko in the first round with Stephanie Voegele or qualifier Yulia Putintseva awaiting in round two should she progress. Daniela is drawn to meet number one seed Roberta Vinci in the quarter finals but should be full of confidence after her week in Birmingham. Inci... |

I may never or hardly ever post on here anymore, but I always keep a close eye on how Daniela is getting on week in week out and I'm as pleased as all you guys are to see her pick up her sixth career title and to notch up 500 career victories on tour this week which is a great achievement for anyon... |

Daniela once again unable to avoid a potential match against a Williams sister. Decent enough draw, should Watson get through Daniela will have to face up against a 'home' crowd, but it's not something she hasn't done before at Wimbledon. 3rd round would be more than acceptable considering her rece... |

Congrats Daniela for making final number two of the year and doing it, presumably, with consummate ease. All the matches she has had so far have been matches you'd expect Daniela to win. That hasn't always spelt out easy wins for Daniela in the past, but on this occasion she has produced four strai... |

I don't have the luxury of watching the match just a very tempremental scoreboard instead, but looking pretty straight forward at the moment and my scoreboard shows Daniela a break up in the 2nd with 0-40 on the Wannasuk (am I the only immature one that finds that name slightly funny?) serve. Daniela and Agnieszka looked to have had a pretty tough doubles match this time around, managing to only win 6-0 6-0 against Paszek and Woehr

Looking ahead, I presume she'll play Fed Cup (yawn) and then off to defend her title in Pattaya. 7 wins to 3 losses at the beginning of the year is pretty good. So nice start to the year Daniela. ;) Doesn't she have to play Fed Cup in order to be selected for Olympics? Or is that just a US thing. Y... |

I didn't manage to see any of this match (I love my sleep just that little bit more) but it sounds like I missed another gut wrencher. Praise has to be given to Daniela to gutsing it out and getting the win in what sounds like a terrible performance, but players ranked outside the top 100 will give... |

Next up Tsurenko, never heard of her so don't know what to expect... Same here, never heard of her, but she's ranked 111 and is quite a pretty little thing (not that that makes any difference, just pointing it out, and she's not exactly little at 5'9") and looking at her WTA bio she hasn't rea... |
