Which is unlikely, in my opinion

I think Daniela has a chance to go above Bartoli after Wimbledon.

Zvonareva might go to SF or Safina - they are in the same quarter so both cannot go to SF, I doubt Schnyder or Szavay will make it far. Szavay almost lost today.

not so sure about the last part though. I've taken the current ranking and removed all points from last year this time and until Rogers Cup (which is the last 2007 tournament which won't count towards the US Open seeding) and replaced these results with the 18th, 19th etc best results and that makes Bartoli 14. She has 335 more points than the person ranked 21 in my "US Open Seeding" table.
Daniela is 8th in the table. She is 530 points ahead of Bartoli.

I dont think her drop from the top 20 will be as quick as her drop from the top 10, obviously but I personally feel that come the YEC Bartoli will be outside the top 20. But as long as Daniela is up there (in the top 10) then I dont mind whos around her

Im very sad: Elena just lost... I really wanted her to win this RG. Safina is having an awesome tournament and her fighting spirit has won her two matches now (facing match points)... But I think a Serb will take the title. Most likely Ana...

^^^ A bit off topic people, but ill let it slide.

As for the race for the number 1 spot, still none the wiser with Ivanovic, Jankovic and Kuznetsova all getting through. Its been a pretty dull French Open imo especially without Daniela but its nice to have something pretty exciting happening going into the final days of the tournament

Kuznetsova has lost to Safina in the semi's so number 1 spot is between Ivanovic and Jankovic who are on court now. The winner of this match will be the new number 1 on Monday, and will most likely therefore be seeded number 1 at Wimbledon in just over two weeks time.

It also meens that Daniela will drop out of the top 10, considering how long shes been out for that isnt that much of a surprise.
