Last match on court 17. No stream :( but at least that gives her a lttle more time to heal. Hopefully they won't get on court due to forecast of showers.

Daniela's playing Vitalia Diatchenko in the first round. Unless Daniela's really badly hurt, she should be able to win this match fairly easily. Diatchenko's best win was beating Petkovic in the New Haven qualifying in 2009 but she's only had one top 100 win since. She lost a three setter with Mirza in qualifying for the Australian Open and Pavlyuchenkova beat her 6-4 6-3 in Dubai. Diatchenko beat Camerin and Dubois in qualifying. Camerin took Daniela to three sets in 2006 and Dubois had a decent run at the Nottingham ITF on grass but neither really have that good a grass record.

Daniela's last on court and with the weather forecast then there's a chance that this will be postponed until Tuesday which would give her more time to rest and recover. I'd have thought that Daniela would have been on a slightly bigger court but if the match is put back then she might be.

The organisers have been nice to her. She most likely won't play on monday and on Tuesday she will probably get a better court. :D :D

The latest weather forecast is that it should be dry in the afternoon and there may be some showers in the evening.

The last time Daniela was put on a small court under an injury cloud she defaulted before the match started... :-(

Just seen the weather report myself and it does look like Daniela may well play today. Not discounting Diatchenko, but Daniela 'should' be able to beat her even with a slight injury. With shoulder and abdominal injuries, the aim of the match should mainly be to get through without doing any further damage, win or lose, but with qualifiers awaiting in the second round, should Daniela survive round one and be fit for round two then she 'should' have another winable-despite-being-injured match...I hope.

Brisbane at the start of the year... although being put on a smaller court there is a lot more suggestive than being put on a smaller court at Wimbledon.

Best of luck, Daniela! I've got to get some sleep before my exam.

It's raining at the moment. Paszek is 2-0 up in the third set against Morita and the Petrova v Dolonts match still has to be played before Daniela's match.

- doesn't look like Daniela's match will be played today judging by the forecast.

Thank goodness for the schedule and for the rain. I never know why Wimbledon always start so late. I mean noon for outside and 1pm for main courts is just asking for trouble. It's not like london weather is like barbados and they never change the start of play each year. Anyway not complaining cos it's helped daniela but it's funny how we british people are so stubborn!

Totally agree. 1pm for Centre is fine given the roof, but play on the outside courts should start at 11:00 when the forecast for the day is poor.

But definitely a good outcome for Daniela. I still think, though, that she'll be on a similar court tomorrow. I don't see why just because of the delay they would put her on a better (televised) court, as some have suggested.
