5 times I think-the ones you mentioned plus Maria in 2004 and Serena in 2007.
im sure maria in 2004 was C1, i have recorded that match...

Petrova will be 4r opponent for either Daniela or Azarenka

Pervak beat Petkovic so Daniela's quarter is looking easier by the minute, just gotta get past Azarenka.

This time last year I had a computer that supported flash, so I could watch Wimbledon to my hearts content (while doing work, of course). This year, new department, new desk, new computer, no flash :'( Will have to make do with live text and scoreboards. After Daniela's two contrasting matches thus far you can't really tell which Daniela is going to turn up, but this is a massive step up in class and will be tough for her to reach round 4. She has already beaten Azarenka this year, so she knows how to do it and hopefully she can replicate it.

match will start in a few minutes :) in 1 hour i had to go to tennis training :(

azarenka starts to serve, 0-1

40-0, 40-30 game daniela 1-1

1-2 good serve from azarenka...

15-30, foot fault on 2nd serve.. 15-40, deuce, bp, deuce, break :( 1-3

0-40, 30-40 and break daniela!!!! excellent shot down the line!! 2-3! come on!

0-30, 30-30, bp , ace :) deuce, bp,good serve deuce, df bp, deuce, bp, deuce, bp, ace! deuce, gp, deuce, good serve! gp!! and finally game daniela!!! :mrgreen: 3-3!

deuce, df bp, deuce, bp! deuce, gp, deuce, gp, deuce, gp, and game azarenka... 3-4

2 df.. break :( 3-5

After saving three or four break points, Azarenka gets the early break, only for Daniela to go 0-40 and after missing out on the first two break points she breaks at the 3rd attempt.

I'm almost glad I only have a scoreboard to entertain myself. This is what the BBC website has said about Azarenka;

"I was wondering what that racket was. Victoria Azarenka is currently on Centre Court against Daniela Hantuchova and if you are near an open window you can probably hear her. What's most impressive/annoying about the fourth seed is not only the volume of her shrieks, but also the length of them. Throw in some unusual variety of noises into the mix and she is probably the best all-round grunter in women's tennis"

Azarenka's shots are stronger and Daniela's serving lots of doubles...:( 3-5 :oops:

Daniela seems really flat footed...

Daniela looking feeble...with little momentum...she almost looks a bit overwhelmed by centre court...there's little fight at the moment which is the most annoying thing.

Azarenka really pumped up...

I don't see how Daniela can turn this around with that shoulder hampering her serve this much.

And even then she is competing.
