Draw looks really good.
Just Wickmayer might be a bad surprise in the second round.

After Dementieva winning today in straigt sets against Williams, I'm even more optimistic about the AO. The title for Elena makes Danielas performance against her look really great.

But lets take one match at a time.

But Dementieva didnt play as well during that second set, I think. A lot of doubles...free gifts for Daniela. But despite of that, hope it helped Danielas confidence and she will succeed at AO.

1.i am drunkThat's always good. Sometimes it's the only way how to cope with this miserable world.
Not a bad draw for Daniela, 3rd maybe even 4th round is possible. Fingers crossed.

Qualifiers have been placed. Daniela avoided Wickmayer, but I think she got the second toughest player in Sofia Arvidsson. In the first part of 2008, the Swede had a handful of strong victories. Granted she's done nothing since, but she has more of a track record than the other qualifiers (save for Wickmayer).

Of course, this only matters if Daniela wins and if Arvidsson beats Groth.

Daniela should certainly make the third round. If this was the US Open I would have my doubts but she seems to play well in Australia fairly consistently and for that reason I think she will at least justify her seeding. Beyond that it could be another match against Szavay (Li Na reaching the third round is not set in stone). Wozniacki would seem a most likely fourth round opponant although Shahar Peer is lerking in her section and Peer has had some great matches the past two weeks, culminating in a finals appearance in Hobart.

In my oppinion:
- a third round appearance would be expected
- a fourth round would be good and a decent finish to the Australian swing
- a quarter-final would be a great result (and a superb start to the year) given the fact that she would have to beat Wozniacki or a player who has come through Wozniacki's section
- a semi-final or further seems unlikely (ALTHOUGH, Venus Williams has had some total meres at the AO, and with Molik and Oudin in that section you just never know...)

Good luck!

"The first round, especially on the Grand Slam tournaments, always among the most difficult. In Kutuzova, I still met before. But I know that plays hard and aggressive tennis. It is a typical representative of a new generation of schools classed as a Russian. Do not look forward to the game," said Daniela Hantuchova.*

Former Five ranked Hantuchova at the threshold of the first peak season, noted: "I feel really well prepared. I'm fit. With regard to possible injury, I have to knock. Vycibriť still needs some things, and especially the more I believe. Overall, all my matches this year up to the one in Brisbane with Petkovic 'Okay'." Hantuchova, who this week in Sydney as the only Ruske Elena Dementieva took at least the set is the Grand Slam of Asia Pacific and 22nd attached. By far, however, relies on simple round - two.
"Those times are long behind us. If tennis is not the current one for most of the initial meeting, the flies very quickly. Something like a friendly lot longer exists, it must be more than ready immediately. It is on the Grand Slam tournaments are the players deployed more pressure, all they expect victory. Conversely, nenasadení have nothing to lose, the more they are not motivated - it is full of every ball."

Thanks for pointing that out, Marek.

I don't think Daniela is very technology driven, hehe... She's old school. It'd be nice if she had an account, though.

The website hasn't even been updated since October.

Personally, the best twitter accounts are the fake satirical ones. cwalken was great but that got discontinued.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.
