So glad Daniela won that match. Would have been really disappointing to lose in the first round.

I think she has good chances against Chakvetadze. But Daniela has to raise her level.

Lets see what Nick says about that match.

although Chak is inside top30 , she's playing like a top100 .

Hantuyama began their doubles match! 4-1 at the moment

According to the sb good match of them

0:30 down but then 4 points in a row and game to 5:2
yes! easy break to win the first set 6:2 !

Hantuchova and Sugiyama take the first set 6-2. Should be a relatively easy straight-sets win for the experienced pair.

I think they held mp in the second set. We were all hoping that good results in doubles would rup off on singles. It seems as if the opposite is happening. Singles is rupping off on doubles.

Daniela Hantuchova recovered from a set down before battling through to the second round in Miami with a 4-6 6-3 6-2 win over American Melanie Oudin.

Slovakia's Hantuchova, who has won two of her three WTA titles in Miami, needed two hours and nine minutes before scraping past her wildcard opponent and will next face Russian Anna Chakvetadze.

Why can't eurosport do they're research properly grrrrrrrrrr??

Ouch

It seems like a a lot of the ad points in the second set went to the other pair and the first to four rule makes doubles a bit of a crapshoot. Still, to be up 5-2 and have a MP and not win another game isn't good and the better team should be able to win. Hantuyama just hasn't had the fortune they had in Australia.

A few wins in singles will more than make up for this.

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

Bad start 1-3 down, i don't think this is a good match-up for Daniela. We've got to hope Chakvetadze self-destructs before Daniela does

2-4 :roll:

2-5 this could be over very quickly...well done daniela 3-5 still a break down though...just great daniela loses 1st set on a double fault 3-6 :twisted:

The only difference in that 1st set were those two stupid double faults both a break points/set points AHHHH Wake up Daniela!!!!!
