Nick Bolletieri about the match Daniela Hantuchova vs. Melanie Oudin

"Hantuchova has been injured as of late, but just has a nice run to the fourth round of Indian Wells last week. She has always been one of my favorite students since she trained back at the Academy when she was a young girl. She has been to the third round in Miami for the last three years. Oudin is a young American who had great success as a junior. She comes into the tournament ranked #176 in the world, and has a solid win over Jill Craybas earlier this year.

Match-Up:
This is the first career meeting between Oudin and Hantuchova. Oudin is a good mover, has a solid backhand and is a fighter. She will not give in to Hantuchova whatsoever, but she may not be able to overpower her either. When healthy, Hatuchova has some of the best groundstrokes on the WTA Tour. She is not afraid to come to the net, and she is a great doubles player. I feel her relentless pressure gives her the edge in this match.

Neither player has heard of first serves. Daniela is 0/8, and Melanie is 6/18. Not impressive. But at least Daniela has won 5 of the 8 on second serve.

Oudin breaks to go 4-2 but Daniela has 3BP to go 4-3 .
She wastes the 1st but she convert the break on the 2nd .

Finally , Daniela hit 1st serves .
Oudin had BP but then Daniela hit 3 first serves winning all of them to take the game . 4-4 at the moment .
Oudin has a 50% of 1st serves , Daniela has 29% .

Well .. Daniela has 38% of her first serves . And in her last service game she hit 5 of the 14 1st services but only won 1 of those 5 .
Daniela should really think about her options if she loses this match .
