Daniela's got a fantastic draw for Eastbourne. 1r Keothavong 2r Erakovic/Paszek QF Radwanska(1)

Hope she takes advantage. Daniela beat Keothavong at Eastbourne a few years ago. A second round or quarters here would be good enough preparation for Wimbledon. However if Daniela's on her game her she can definitely go deep.

After last week, I'm more concerned with the weather than the draw (I see everyone's having to play two at dear old Birmingham today). Two sources say 80% chance of rain Monday, one says sunny. If it rains, will they give Daniela 20 seconds notice of a court change this time? Or might they have her play in a mud wrestling arena? :lol:

That's a good draw. Daniela beat Keothavong here in 2010 and although it was in straight sets it was quite a long match with a lot of close games so it could be tough. Keothavong beat Cibulkova in Pattaya and Czink in Copenhagen and she had good runs at Linz and Luxembourg last year so she's got to be respected although this is a match Daniela should win.
Daniela thrashed Erakovic at Wimbledon last year although Erakovic beat her in Quebec but Daniela wasn't fully fit and Erakovic also beat Azarenka at Stanford last year. She's had a couple of good runs this year although her recent form hasn't been great.
Paszek beat Daniela in Bali in 2008 and got to the Wimbledon quarter-final last year but her form this year has been terrible.
Radwanska would be a tough opponent in the quarter-final although Daniela has to win a couple of matches first and she has to focus on getting past Keothavong. A good run here would do so much for Daniela's confidence and give her momentum going into Wimbledon.

Im at the match. Danielas not doing anything special by any means. Shes hitting the ball maybe 70% hard and it's good enough atm. Danielas returning really badly, should be 5-1 up but 4-2 it is. Solid service game to love. All 1st serves in. Her serve is max 95mph. I remember the days when she could serve 112..

A solid first set but really about 50% of what Daniela can do. Anne was below average.

2nd set both played a lot better but Daniela was solid. I'd give her a 6/10 performance but she's got a way to go before she'll be able to challenge the best players imo. Daniela has so many fans here in Eastbourne she could barely move when she was walking around the grounds with her coach and fitness trainer. She signed lots of autograph for the kids.:) will post pics and videos later this evening.

Danielas playing doubles with Zheng. They play mirza/Suarez 1r. Wonder why shes not playing with aga? Aga's not doing doubles here at all
