This is so disappointing, especially as Daniela dominated the first set but she couldn't keep her level up while Radwanska stayed consistent and hung in. The big difference in the match was 2nd serve, Daniela only won 33% (7/21) of her second serves while Radwanska won 57% of her second serves (16/28) and that really was decisive in the match. They both won 67% of their 1st serves but Daniela got 72% in compared to 58% for Radwanska but Daniela's second serve was an achilles heel again. If Daniela had won she'd have played Lauren Davis in the quarter-final so this really is an opportunity missed. Still, she's had more top 20 wins in her first tournament of the year then she did in the whole of last year. It seems like whenever Daniela has a good win on a big court and then has to play her next match on an outside court she never plays as well. |

I hope she has the chance to get some form again... I was so hopeful after that 1st round. Is she scheduled for another tournament pre-AO? |

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning to everyone on God's Green Earth that lives next to fans of Daniela Hantuchova who are blowing off steam and feeling the wind coming out of their sails. The only thing I can say is that if Dani didn't do stuff like this, we would have stopped rooting for her a long time ago! Didn't Davis beat Daniela last year? |

Daniela has entered Hobart. I don't think she's ever played there before. Hopefully she can make a quarters here to add more points and move up a few places in the rankings in case she get's a horrendous draw at AO. |
