Wozniacki def. Azarenka 1-6 6-4 7-5 in an absolutely EPIC match
The first set was good tennis, but Victoria was just too strong.
In the secong the level was extremely high with long ralleys and long games. The fifth game went 13 times to deuce.

Then Azarenka had a MP at 5-4 in the third, but Wozniacki hold her serve to 5 all. In the next game Caro had two break points when Azarenka got a warning, made an unforced error and then threw her racquet, which lead to another warning and a break for the dane, who served the match out well.

Congrats to Wozniacki!

why are you mentioning the match never to be spoken of? My behaviour during the match caused penalties as well.

Off-Topic:
but yes, it was a great match, with great rallies and many winners, Vika just destroyed it and prevented it from being perfect

cause it was simply a remarkable match. Caro's fighting spirit is truely amazing, and Vika's way to give the match away is worth mentioning as well
anyway, sorry for that ;-)

Just be proud of Caro. She tortured herself through another three setter versus Zvonareva. The last games were horrible to watch :o
Is a win really worth all the pain?

Caro is a great fighter, and I am very glad she beat Vera, and I kind of enjoyed the match vs Vika as both played great and it was entertaining for sure. But Vika's infamous temper kind of ruined it for me. But Caro has really stepped it up IMO for this tournament. Hopefully Vika beats Vera tomorrow so that Caro and Vika can advance to the SF.

Amelie Mauresmo's retired.

ISSY-LES-MOULINEAUX, France - After one of the most distinguished careers in Sony Ericsson WTA Tour history, which included multiple Grand Slam titles and the world No.1 ranking, Amélie Mauresmo has decided to step away from the spotlight, announcing her retirement from tennis Thursday, December 3.

"I don't want to train anymore," a teary-eyed Mauresmo said at the press conference. "I had to make a decision, which became evident in the last few months and weeks. When you grow older, it's more difficult to stay at the top. It's a bit sad, but this is the right decision. I was lucky enough to have an exceptional career and to experience very strong feelings on the court."

Daniela Hantuchova is right about everything.

yeah, sad news.. I like her, because he had a unique style of playing, and her special backhand was always a good weapon.
Maybe a good time to watch her 2006 Wimbledon triumph again.
does somebody have it?
