Kim's medical time out was no tactical trick, as she just had to quit the match.

Daniela wins by retirement 6-7 3-1
A bit lucky, but not totally undeserved, as it was a good match and both of them were on the same level.

All the best for Kim!

very low level from both now. Clijsters with stupid errors, Daniela with 2 dfs.
8th deuce in this game.

but finally some good shots again, and Daniela reaches tiebreak...

Daniela serves quite well so far. Plus some good winners and forced errors from Clijsters:
leading 3-0

It is Dani that we're talking about! Rally in Bali, Dani! I sign this! :) Lisicki will be a tricky opener. She suffered from food poisoning a month ago, but I don't think it will still have a big effect on her game. Lisicki is going to give Daniela a good fight, that's for sure. Go Daniela! :) Lisi...

that means, the match will only be on ES2 (and on Austrian channel TW1).
I'll record it.

I also have yesterdays match. Anyone interested? I'm asking because I don't want to upload it in vain ;)

common Danka, a good run here is much needed! :)

This tournament is quite well televised (ES, and free Austrian channel TW1 on Astra 19°E), so a good chance to see her on TV!

I see Daniela took off 6 - 1 in the first set today and now down 1 - 4. anybody watching livestreams or know why the turn around.

Now 1 - 5
my scoreboard says: 6-0 2-6 5-4*

what happened after the first set? How could such a one-sided match become so tough?

the runner up gets $19,000. The same amount of money for a US Open 1st round exit.

yes, that fine is just a bad joke. Serena got $900,000 prize money, and god knows how many millions of dollars she owns. To her defense you must say that she would have made that point anyway, even without her "Common!". But Asteraki had to follow the rules, and give Stosur the point. Sere...

Kerber would be awesome, but I rather see Wozniacki getting her first grand slam title (if she gets past Williams)
